Service Description

Up to 2 hours per person £55 or (£45 per person or £45 for 6+) Would you like to have a go on the potter's wheel and also hand-build a beautiful pot? I welcome you to have a taste of both at Cow Pat Pots  This experienced is a friendly offer a warm, stylish and spacious pottery studio, the perfect place to unwind with clay. I am passionate about ceramicists and I will make sure you make the most of it. You will be set-up of your own tools and space to create amazing handmade pottery. You'll then kick off the learning of the class with demonstrations on the having a go on the wheel. Learn about slab building and also basics of wheel throwing. At the end of the class, your beautiful pottery pieces will be taken away to be fired. once fired you then comeback to glaze or pots.  They will then be ready to collect after 3-4 weeks to display at home or give away as handmade gifts!  Please note: Your chosen piece will be glazed and fired for FREE, ready to collect 3-4 weeks after the class. Materials fee of £5 per extra chosen piece of pottery made is payable on the day of your workshop. P.S Things you can make: Toothbrush cup, no.1 dad mug, paint brush pot holder, small vase, trinket dish, incense holder. Large party groups of up to 17 people available to book now Knowledge required Beginner-friendly. No skills required. Just enjoy the fun and mess.


Cancellation Policy

Studio Terms and Conditions Please read through the following carefully by booking on to a class/course/studio or session you are agreeing to these terms and conditions Non-attendance: In the event of non-attendance to classes it is not possible to provide alternative for a class to be rescheduled. Classes are at fixed times to cover the cost of tuition. It is not possible to swap classes or use the studio outside of the allotted class times to catch up. The exception to this is during the our longer courses when a missed session can be caught up during an open studio drop in - please note this is an untaught independent session and only skills that have already been taught should be practiced in this time. Clay / glaze / firing costs: Taster sessions: extra pots made in these sessions can be white or clear glaze fired at a cost of £5 per extra pot (One pot is included in the class price). 5 week courses: You are entitled to 4 small-medium pots inclusive of the course cost. Extra pots will be priced according to size but generally £5 per pot. Open studio drop in; clay is charged at £10 half bag OR Whole Bag £18. £3.50 per 3kg and reclaim clay if available - is charged at £2 per 3kg. Firing fee's are applicable to bisque ware which must be weighed and then added to the note book in the drop in area. This is priced at £5 per 500g or one quarter shelf £10. Firing fees must be paid in advance of the glaze firing. Collecting work: Finished work can be collected any time within our opening hours. You will receive an email or text informing you when the work is ready for collection (generally after 3-4 weeks). From the date of this email you will have 3 calendar months to collect your work. After this time your work will be disposed of (please let us know asap if there is a valid reason you cannot collect within that time period). I cannot guarantee that work won’t be damaged in the kiln or not survive a firing.
